How to choose the perfect colour palate for your new kitchen

It can be a daunting decision when thinking about colour in your new kitchen. You want something that will look amazing now and in years to come.

Fashions in kitchens are no different from any other, but it’s your kitchen. The kitchen is a space where you spend a large amount of time; after all, the kitchen is the heart of the home!

The choice of colours in units and doors is almost endless from bold vibrant colours such as red and purple through to more neutral tones such as Pearl Grey, Cashmere, Graphite, white and grey acacia.

Designers are using different materials and textures with great effect, such as silk grey wood with painted finishes and there is definitely a trend towards light coloured stone worktops such as Veined Carrara, pure white quartz or Corian in Glacier White which will work well with whatever colour palate you choose.

Light coloured worktops also help to maximise the space and light in the room, which for most of us an important factor when choosing your colour scheme.
