Jane came up with lots of good ideas which were incorporated in our design. The units are all very high quality and the whole process went seamlessly.

Planning for a small kitchen
Planning for a small kitchen is just like planning a large room in terms of what you need - a sink, usable worktop area for food prep, oven, hob, extraction, fridge, storage and somewhere for a washing machine unless you plan to put this in another room, utlity etc. Although with limited space, you need to be careful during the design phase to ensure your kitchen will do everything you need it to. At Designer Kitchens For Less our designer can help with this process to ensure you get the maximum out of your new kitchen.
There are several things that we can help with to ensure you get the most practical and stylish kitchen, even in a small space. Consider the use of a slim line dishwasher, the use of compact appliances, magic corner units, pull out tall housings and use of wall units to maximise space. You'll be surprised how far kitchen furniture has come over the past few years to allow greater storage potential than ever before. Hidden storage is wonderful for de-cluttering a small kitchen and give the impression of more space.
As well as the considering the practical aspects in terms of appliances and cabinetry, it is also worth thinking about how your choice of colour, both on your kitchen units and on the walls and floor can impact on the size of the room. Generally speaking, lighter colours and a more streamlined door choice will give a more airy feel to the room. You might also consider the use of reflective plinths and splash backs to add depth and the illusion of space.
